the teak bench seat...

Day 75: Made another purchase... (lets call it my New Years Eve present)... this 3 seater teak bench is a match to my previous buy, the Balinese day bed.

Today also marked the return of our brickies. Heading out later today to take some more photos of their progress. They still have a few days work left, cant wait to see it completed. (And yay to them for working during the holidays when most other tradies are on a break).

Day 71 is Christmas day!

Someone (me) bought me a Balinese day bed! Hand carved, from recycled teak. Ooh! Perfect for the front entry of the house. I also bought 3 coco rib mirrors to hang above the buffet :)

Day 69: Our brickies are absolute stars. I visited the block this arvo not expecting to see any progress... and what do I see? Two brickies sweating away in the heat. What stars! I had a bit of a chat, they plan to continue tomorrow (Christmas Eve) then come back Monday to complete it all. Monday is a public holiday, so I'll be baking some cup cakes to take them as a treat.

Day 61 and the brickies continue. They started on the rear of the house today... and have completed the south side, as far up as they can before they come back with scaffolding to complete the top section.

Frame overhang issues were also fixed... steel dynabolted to the slab.

Day 60: Our brickies have started! Looks great so far! Looking forward to heading back tonight to see how much more they have done.
